Austin is 5!

Austin had a birthday this week...finally. He's been counting down for over a month. Randomly throughout the day he would say, "It's my birthday!"

5 things you should know about Austin:

- He is very touchy, in a loving and rough kind of way.
- He says the funniest and most random things.
- His favorite color is purple.
- He is a very picky eater and thinks most things look gross.
- He hates to write or color (but will if he can use a purple marker), but loves to read books, watch movies, and play games.
- He never looks at the camera and 95% of the time has his shoes on the wrong feet.

OK that was more than 5, but I could've gone on forever. Here's how we spent Austin's special day.

He was so excited he woke up at 4:30am, but the real excitement started at 7:30am with the singing of Happy Birthday and opening presents. He is such a nice brother and always shares.

Grandma gave Austin a fun sprayer for the water hose, and Nolan liked his new glasses!!

He wanted to go see Monster's vs Aliens for his birthday, and wanted a monster cake. We made Bob and used a sucker for his eye. He was so excited and kept saying all day how cool his cake was. He wanted to write "It's Austins birthday" on the cake but settled for Happy Birthday Austin.

We ate dinner at McDonald's

went to the movie in 3D, well I stood by the door with Nolan

and ended his fun day with cake and ice cream. It took him several tries to blow out his candles!!

Apparently cake tastes better when not cut into pieces!
